Devoted to live music, the four boys from central Switzerland bring their energy to the stage.

Influenced by folk music and bluegrass, Maple Tree Circus play a thrilling mix of ballads and fast folk tunes. Four part harmonies are joined by banjos and fiddles, and create a sound you would not expect to find in the Swiss Alps.

Originally formed as a busking band, they have had the pleasure of playing hundreds of shows - from small apartment parties to big festival stages.

After more than a decade experimenting with different styles, they settled on a combination of their own original material and traditional folk standards - and continue to enjoy every minute of it.

Beeinflusst vom Folk und Bluegrass, spielen sie ihren eigenen Mix aus Balladen und stampfenden Tunes. Mehrstimmiger Gesang trifft auf Mandoline, Geige, Kontrabass etc. und es entsteht ein Sound, den man so nicht aus der Alpenregion erwarten würde.

Ursprünglich als Strassenmusikband gegründet, hatte die Band seither das Glück und Vergnügen hunderte von Shows zu spielen - von kleinen WG-Parties bis zu grossen Festival Bühnen.

Nach mehr als einem Jahrzehnt mit unterschiedlichen Stilen und Instrumentierung heisst es “Back to the Roots”. Maple Tree Circus spielen sowohl traditionelle Folksongs, wie auch ihre eigenen Lieder im Bluegrass und Folk Stil - und geniessen weiterhin jede Minute davon.
